Ask SAM: Who mows median on union cross road

Question: Now that the widening of Union Cross Road is complete, who is responsible for mowing the medians and grass by the sidewalks? It actually could look quite nice if this were maintained. ~ D.B.
Answer: “Unfortunately, the power company’s easement likely just covers its services, according to another utility’s representative in our area, so using the power line easement is probably not an option,” said local attorney Mike Wells. “On rare occasions, therefore, a practically easement-landlocked potential customer cannot be served by the provider of choice if the neighbor will not provide an easement to service the potential customer.”
